The Nintendo Switch Pro game console will be launched at the end of 2023

According to previous reports, Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to release at the end of this year. The latest financial report reveals that Nintendo’s number one priority right now is resolving production issues related to parts shortages. The latest analysis indicates that Nintendo won’t launch a new Switch Pro game console until at least the end of 2023.

When Nintendo introduced the Switch OLED, that meant the Switch Pro continued to be delayed. The Switch OLED is capable of displaying games in 720p, and even in 4K (dock mode) in the most optimistic case. It comes with a 7 inch OLED screen. This device also supports 64GB of built-in storage in handheld mode, up to 720/60 frames and 1080P/60 frames in TV mode.

Nintendo Switch Pro needs more than a year

Later, after hacking Nvidia, it was reported that the manufacturer was developing the Ampere SoC. The company needs this SoC to launch a more powerful Switch model. It was reported this summer that the Nintendo Switch Pro would officially launch this year. However, according to the latest developments, it seems that this will no longer be the case.

The analysis claims that at least until the end of Nintendo’s current fiscal year, which is March 2023, the company will deal with production issues related to parts shortages. Meanwhile, Nintendo doesn’t seem keen on making any major reveals. Nintendo’s revenues and profits fell from the previous year. Indeed, it had to face a serious shortage of parts in the second quarter of its fiscal year.

That being said, nintendo also said its sales target remains unchanged through March 2023 for the time being. Therefore, the manufacturer will try to mitigate the impact of the parts shortage. Anyway, we won’t have any news until next spring. This may mean that the Nintendo Switch Pro won’t officially arrive until at least the end of 2023.
