Agartala, 31st May 2022: The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha on Monday evening strongly advised the traffic police to ensure that the movement of the VIP convoy does not cause any inconvenience to the general public.

Previously, the second Chief Minister of Tripura Sukhamoy Sengupta adopted this culture.

Speaking to social media, Dr Saha said, “The state government is sincere towards the overall benefit of the people of the state in the movement of vehicles including pedestrians. In order to move in an orderly and well-regulated manner, the comfort of people must be a priority. Traffic police on duty have been asked to keep a close watch and ensure that the public does not face unnecessary harassment or a difficult situation when moving the VIP convoy.

Unlike former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who used to keep the public and commuters stopped on the roads for his own convenience, the current view of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha regarding the VIP convoy movement is completely different.

This statement by Dr. Saha on social media has received an immense response and has been shared by several hundred over the past couple of hours.
