Interactive Paradox and Double Eleven today unveiled and launched Prison Architect: Perfect Storm, the next expansion to the acclaimed prison management game. Perfect Storm introduces calamities, like thunderstorms, which players will manage and overcome to maintain a high standard of living for their inmates. Prison Architect: Perfect Storm is available now on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for a suggested retail price of $9.99/ GBP7.19 GBP/ EUR9.99 EUR.

Calamities can strike at any time, decreasing happiness and increasing unrest among inmates. Wardens can train staff, apply for grants, and fortify their compound to control the impact of a calamity on their prison. Players are encouraged to create a clean and safe environment for their inmates through disaster preparedness, rewarding guards who keep their inmates comfortable. Guardians must be creative in solving problems, preventing disasters and overcoming unexpected challenges.

“Perfect Storm’s Calamities challenge players to creative problem-solving, often forcing them to think ahead when building their facility. Prison Architect: Perfect Storm Key Features:

Riot Before the Storm – “Calamities,” such as deep frosts, heat waves, rat infestations, and thunderstorms, can cause structural damage, lower prison ratings, and wreak havoc on the compound.

Come Cell or High Water – Pest Control, Plumbers, Repairers and Road maintenance emergency services are available for immediate relief from calamities. Electrician, cold control, fire safety, first aid training and pest abatement training enable staff to mitigate damage and keep things running smoothly.

Shelter Granted – Grants for Disaster Relief, Heat Waves, Emergency Protocol, Subsidence, Advanced Staff Training, and the Utilities Renovation Grant fund much-needed preparations to help overcome the calamities.

It’s raining rats and dogs – Check current and forecast weather conditions and use weather forecast objects to stay informed of any impending disasters.

Launching alongside the Perfect Storm expansion is a free content update for all players called The Tower. This update brings a variety of improvements to Prison Architect, including more foliage, floor types, search dogs, and more. The tower also introduces a non-lethal sniper policy, allowing snipers to fire rubber bullets that stun inmates, but do not kill.
