Revenue generated from the introduction of Android games in alternative app stores was $50 million over the past 12 months, Flexion Mobile reported in its first quarter financial statements.

The company offers developers an easy way to add revenue and audiences to their games. It tackles the technology and marketing challenges of adding a game to Huawei App Gallerythe Amazon app storethe Samsung Galaxy app storeXiaomi GetApps and the A store.

“Our approach has proven to be attractive to game developers as there is little upfront cost or effort required on their part,” says Jens Lauritzson, CEO of Flexion. “They let us run the show and get a nice boost in revenue from their games in return.”

Flexion adds an average of 10% to a game’s revenue by bringing it to alternative app stores.

“It’s basically a bonus for games that are already doing very well on Google Play,” says Jens.

In addition to managing the technical part of the move to alternative stores, Flexion manages user acquisition and platform relationships to maximize the audience that their customers’ games reach and therefore the revenue generated from each game. company recently acquired influencer marketing agency Audiencly to bolster its distribution power and marketing expertise.
