Starting tomorrow, a new event taking place in the mystic Japan brings a new game mode and more.
Today, Ubisoft announced Rengoku, a new limited-time event for Rainbow Six Siege, available tomorrow, April 26, until May 17. Rengoku introduces a new Control Zone game mode with unique Kiba loadouts and fast respawning, creating a fast-paced, action-packed event.
Settle Japan, Rengoku unveils a temple in the sky and a fight for eternity, where the Operators are spirit-possessed Samurai warriors fighting for the honor of the gods in a revamped Skyscraper map. In the 5v5 checkpoint mode, players must stand near altars for five seconds unopposed to score checkpoints or steal checkpoints from the opposing team – the first team to reach 300 points wins the match. Every two minutes the checkpoints will change location.
Operators will wield a one-shot explosive Kiba at shotguns and pistols. Fuze, Osa, Rook, and Thunderbird can choose between a Fire or Poison Kiba, while Twitch, Capitao, Zofia, Kapkan, Bandit, and Maestro can choose between Flashback or Knockback Kiba to unleash the ultimate mayhem.
This event brings with it the Rengoku Collection, which contains uniforms, headwear, weapon skins, and operator card portraits for Rengoku competitors. Rengoku is also introducing the Battlefield Spirit Bundle which includes a signature weapon skin, universal prop skin, charm, and background. Rengoku Collection Packs can be obtained by completing special event challenges or by purchasing them for 300 R6 Credits or 12,500 Fame Points each. Individual bundles can also be purchased directly for 1680 R6 Credits each.
