FFXIV Update 6.18 Patch Notes: Data Center Moves, Asphodelos Savage Changes, and PvP Balancing

Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.18 is now live and will change the way players trade servers through FFXIV’s Data Centers.

Final Fantasy XIV Online patch 6.18 will now allow you to switch data centers at will, allowing you to play with friends on much more than before. Be aware that you can only visit servers in your region.

However, the patch still opens up a world of possibilities for friends who have always wanted to play together, but have been locked in an in-game defined data center. FFXIV 6.18 update brings a series of changes, below , we’ll cover them all in the patch notes.

Patch 6.18 will update various features as well as data center moves.

Final Fantasy XIV Update 6.18

Remember that patch 6.18 of Final Fantasy XIV should not be confused with patch 6.2 Buried Memory. This is a different update that will go live in August and is more focused on post-Endwalker content.

Patch 6.18 is for the Data Center update, however, it will add a lot of other things to the game once the maintenance is over.

battle system

  • The weekly restriction on receiving Unsung Asphodelos Blades from Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle has been removed.
  • The following adjustments have been made to Pandæmonium: Asphodelos (Savage):
  • Two treasure chests will now always spawn. Additionally, the weekly restriction on rewards obtained from chests has been removed.
  • The weekly entry restriction to all areas of Pandæmonium: Asphodelos (Savage) has been removed.
  • Players can now directly access any circle in Pandaemonium: Asphodelos (Savage).
  • The item needed to upgrade weapons purchased with Allagan astronomy tomestones, Radiant Roborant, can be purchased from the following vendor: Nesvaaz, Radz-at-Han (X:10.6 Y:10.0)
  • Required Item: Coin of Aglaia
  • After acquiring the items to enhance your gear from J’lakshai, Wilmetta, or Nesvaaz, speak to Khaldeen in Radz-at-Han (X:10.9 Y:10.4) and exchange them for the augmented gear of your choice.

PvP

The following adjustments have been made to PvP actions:

Paladin

  • Holy Sheltron: Knight’s Resolve effect damage reduction reduced from 20% to 15%.

Marauder / Warrior

  • Assault: Base power increased from 400 to 500. Max power increased from 4000 to 5000.
  • Orogeny: Base power increased from 800 to 1000. Max power increased from 8000 to 10000.

Black Knight

  • Bloodspiller: Base power increased from 4000 to 6000. Threshold to reach max power changed from HP below 20% to HP below 25%.
  • Eventide: Base power increased from 1 to 10,000.

arms breaker

  • Burst Strike: Potency increased from 6000 to 7000.
  • Hypervelocity: Power increased from 2000 to 3000. Junction Tank bonus barrier power increased from 5000 to 6000. Junction DPS bonus power increase changed from 4000 to 5 000. Junction Healer bonus healing power increased from 3000 to 4000.

Ninja

  • Seiton Tenchu: Reduced the duration of the unsealed Seiton Tenchu ​​effect from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.

Machinist

  • Explosive Charge: Now grants increased movement speed when overheated.
  • Aether Mortar: Power increased from 4000 to 6000. Barrier power increased from 4000 to 6000.

Dancer

  • Honing Dance: Power increased from 3000 to 4000.
  • Reverse Cascade: Power increased from 5000 to 6000.
  • Waterfall: Power increased from 7000 to 8000.
  • Saber Dance: Damage bonus increased from 5% to 10%.

Black Magus

  • Explosion: Barrier power reduced from 16000 to 12000.
  • Superflare: Enemies under the effect of Umbral Freeze will now be afflicted with a status effect proportional to the number of stacks accumulated.
    • 1 Stack: Heavy
    • 2 stacks: Link
    • 3 stacks: Deep Freeze
    • Duration: 2s

Summoner

  • Fester: Base power increased from 3000 to 4000. Max power increased from 6000 to 8000.

Astrologer

  • Gravity II: The heavy effect is now only applied to the first target.
  • Gravity II (when performed after Double Cast): Bind effect is now only applied to the first target.

crystal conflict

  • At the end of the season, the top 100 players on each data center’s leaderboard will receive vouchers via the moogle delivery service.
  • Players finishing at Bronze level or above can claim rewards by speaking with the Seasonal Quartermaster at Wolves’ Den Pier (X: 4.9 Y: 5.7).
  • Tier rewards for Season 1 must be claimed before the end of Season 2.

First line

We are planning a number of adjustments for Patch 6.2, including further changes to the rate at which the Limit Gauge fills for each task, as well as damage modifiers.

Combat Rank bonus for Limit Gauge has been adjusted as follows:

Before:

  • 1st: none
  • 2nd: Fills 1.25 times faster
  • 3rd: fills 1.5 times faster

After:

  • 1st: fills 0.75 times slower
  • 2nd: none
  • 3rd: Fills 1.25 times faster

Job-based damage modifiers have been adjusted as follows:

  • Damage taken from tank and melee DPS increased from -40% to -60%.
  • Damage taken for Physical Ranged DPS, Magic Ranged DPS, and Healer increased from -20% to -30%.
  • Damage dealt by Summoner, Scholar, and White Mage increased from 0% to -10%.

A new data center, Meteor, has been added to the Japan region.

New worlds have been added to European data centers.

The Data Center Travel system has been set up:

  1. In the character selection screen, choose a character and select Visit Another Data Center from the subcommand menu.
  2. Select the data center and world you want to go to.
  3. On the final confirmation screen, select Continue to return to the title screen and begin the data center move process.
  4. After Data Center Travel is successfully completed, you can select the correct data center and world to connect.

Players visiting other data centers will see the title “Traveler” displayed on their nameplate.

Fixed issues

An issue where conflicting dialogue appeared when talking with F’lhaminn in Mor Dhona after completing Ameliance’s custom delivery quests.

An issue where conflicting dialogue appeared when talking with Jesse in Rhalgr’s Reach after completing the “Goodbye, ε̆│̆│Δ” quest.

An issue when participating in Frontline Campaigns where players under the effects of the Miracle of Nature white mage action were no longer affected by PvP damage modifiers.

Other minor text issues have also been fixed.

Known issues

An issue where cross-world linkshell numbering reverts to the order they were joined after using the Data Center Travel system and returning to your Home Data Center.
