Chinese game developer 37 Interactive Entertainment reports over $2 billion in revenue

The company has seen increased revenue in mobile games and overseas business

Chinese game developer 37 Interactive Entertainment (002555) (Chinese: 三七互娱) reported revenue of CNY 16.216 billion (USD 2.471 billion) in 2021, up 12.62% year-on-year, according to its financial report filed on April 25.

The company also reported net profit attributable to parent company owners of 2.876 billion yuan last year, up 4.15 percent from 2020.

The company’s revenue comes mainly from R&D and distribution activities. Its distribution spans web and mobile gaming operations and overseas businesses.

Specifically, its mobile game revenue was 15.364 billion yuan in 2021, accounting for 94.7% of total revenue. Web games contributed CNY 829 million, or 5.11% of total revenue.

The report also showed that the company’s overseas revenue has achieved triple-digit growth for two consecutive years. Last year, total overseas business revenue was CNY 4.777 billion, up 122.94% from 2020. Last year, domestic revenue reached CNY 11.439 billion, or 70 % of total revenues, compared to 85% in 2020.

According to Sensor Tower, a mobile app data provider, the Shenzhen-listed company was ranked among China’s top 10 mobile game developers for the whole of 2021 and ranked fourth at its best.
